Nanotechnology and Tissue Science

Nanotechnology and Tissue Science Photo

Nanotechnology is currently being utilized for tissue engineering and regenerative medicine which discusses the use of nanotechnology for medical applications with a focus on its use for drug delivery and tissue engineering. Nanostructures can mimic tissue-specific bio environments by designing constructs with biochemical, mechanical and electrical properties. Consequently, tissue can be engineered by employing these nanostructures for enhanced cell adhesion, growth and differentiation. As the variety of tissues being proposed for engineering, there is also a proportional increase in demand for new scaffold properties.
