Biomedical imaging focusses on the capture of images for both diagnostic and therapeutic uses. Pictures of physiological processes can be saved through advanced sensors and computer technology. Generally used biomedical imaging modalities, including X-ray and computed tomography, positron emission tomography and single photon emission computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, ultrasound imaging, optical imaging, and developing techniques and multimodal imaging, will be deliberated, concentrating on the newest trends of their applications in current tissue engineering studies.
