Biomedical implants are devices or tissues that are implanted into the patient body. Some biomedical implants monitor the functions of the body, to deliver the drugs or to deliver support to the tissues and organs. Implants are made from tissues, bones, and skin. Other are made from different materials such as plastic, metals, ceramics or other materials. Biomedical implants solve the problems in the medical field by the application of engineering science to provide better diagnosis and more effective remedies for a variety of medical problems.
